My Best Friend Mark Frassica challenged me to begin a Business Development Group called Strategic Alliance. When I told him I would only consider it if it were Christian based he said "fine, then make it Christian Strategic Alliance". I then gave another excuse of 'not now but later'. Mark inquired "are you going to be a leader or not?" Those words rang in my ears, my mind and my heart. I agreed to start CSA and am very thankful I took on the challenge. Mark has a unique talent of challenging others to do more, raise the bar, go to the next level, contribute more, reach for their God given potential and enjoy doing it. He is a great example of walking his talk. (Thank you again Mark.)
We first met at the Hungry Hunter restaurant in Lake Forest, CA. The Founding Members were Mark Frassica, myself (a Mortgage Broker), Dan Mc Bride (an International known Motivational Speaker), Ernie Cassaras of Orange County Bank, Angie Wright of Regency Realty and Steve Morr (an Investment Advisor). We had our first Guest Event January, 1999. CSA originally met on Thursdays at 11:30 for lunch at Tony’s Sea Food Landing, and then later, the Regency Reality Conference room at their Mission Viejo location. Our current present location is at the Mimi's Cafe, located off the 5 Freeway, and Lake Forest Drive.
We have grown through the years. In 2007 I stepped down as President. I passed that responsibility to Barry Brown. Barry leads the group with the same Ideals, Values and Beliefs that were put in place when we started CSA. The true mark of leadership is leaving a legacy that we can be proud of. I have learned so much from Barry’s leadership with the group, and for me CSA will continue to be a vital tool for the success of my business and all Christian Businesses that become involved.
Although some members are gone, the business relationships and friendships have continued. We are always looking for new business to join the group!
If your business is not currently represented or if you know of someone that would be perfect for CSA, please call us to arrange an invitation for the next weekly meeting.
